Boutin-Dufresne
Managing Partner
François is an international economist and investment strategist with experience in policy-making, capital markets, sustainable finance and development finance. He held roles at the International Monetary Fund, the Government of Canada with a focus on Africa and was more recently a macro strategist at a multi-faceted financial market company. He currently teaches economics and finance at HEC Montréal. He was a trailblazer in responsible investing when he wrote his thesis on the subject in 2004 and remains a passionate advocate of finance for good.

Félix is an engineer-MBA with experience in energy, environmental policy and sustainable finance. Following a few years spent in Africa on infrastructure projects, he joined the Government of Canada as Director of International Climate Change Negotiation and as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister. Félix later consulted with think tanks, private companies and international organizations such as the IFC and the OECD. He is a globe-trotter that has seen the beauty of the world and now believes that the best way to enact material change is through capital markets.

François is an investor and investment team leader with a vast experience in multiple asset classes ranging from fixed income and equities to absolute return and hedge fund strategies. As the former CIO of a global asset management firm, he developed private and public alternative strategies in real estate, infrastructure, agriculture, commodities and impact investing. He is an actuary by training and still loves numbers but instead of measuring life expectancy, he wants to improve the world through financial markets.

Lenka is an investment strategist with experience in research and capital markets. She was a strategist and managing editor for the US Investment Strategy service at BCA Research, the leading provider of independent global macro investment research. She was also portfolio manager at one of Canada’s largest pension funds. She courageously left the corporate world to complete her master’s in Management and Sustainable development at HEC Montréal due to her desire to be better equipped to effect positive change while pursuing a financial career.

Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics & Statistics and an MSc in Finance. She has worked in portfolio construction for one of Canada’s largest pension funds, determining the strategic asset allocation and conducting research on both public and private asset classes. With a penchant for numbers and passion for the environment, she wants to use her skills to make an impact and sees ESG investment as key in the path forward.

Senior ESG Analyst
Priscilla is a Senior ESG Analyst, with experience in shareholder engagement (both dialogue and proxy voting), sustainable investment through academic research, and asset management compliance and audit. She holds a master’s degree in Applied Financial Economics from HEC Montreal and a bachelor’s degree from the ESSEC Business School in France. Long before graduating, she wanted to put her skills to good use in responsible investing and help bring better practices within companies and in the markets. She traveled extensively during her studies and decided to settle in Montreal for her professional contribution.
